The world’s most famous historic city, Jerusalem is a spiritual centre for the three great monotheistic faiths, Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Your first glimpse of its huge walls and diverse, often ancient architecture will leave you speechless. Within a short walk of each other are Christians praying in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Jews pressing their foreheads against the Wailing Wall and Muslims worshipping at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, on a plateau above the city. Jerusalem is one of the most fascinating cities you will ever visit.

Depart from your hotel at around 9.30pm (the night before: tbc) and transfer to the Israeli border. There is an optional short stop at the Dead Sea for swimming, weather permitting. Then we drive to Jerusalem, starting with a panoramic view of the city from the Mount of Olives.
We then visit the holy sites of the three monotheistic religions represented in Jerusalem. Our tour includes the Wailing Wall, the last remnant of a Jewish Temple destroyed by the Romans, Temple Mount, where we can see the famous Dome of the Rock, and the Arab markets, including the Via Dolorosa (The Way of Suffering), which winds its way through the souks to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, in the Christian quarter.
The tour finishes at approximately 5.30pm. We drive through the New City, towards the Dead Sea, and back to the border. You’ll then be driven to your hotel in Sinai.
