Please note that this is a shared (collective) car, and pick-up time is between 10:00 PM and 10:30 PM.
For the smoothest experience, we recommend being ready at your hotel/apartment by 9:50 PM, as the car might arrive slightly earlier than expected.
The driver will send you a WhatsApp message (or give you a call if you have an Egyptian number) about 5 minutes before the car arrives, so you can head out and meet the car on time.

Meeting point at in front of our office in the Lighthouse area, in front of the Mirage Hotel. Drive to Saint Catherine City.
Arrive in Saint Catherine, meet your guide, and begin the hike under the stars. Rest stops with tea, coffee, and snacks along the way.
Enjoy sunrise views from the top.
Begin the descent after sunrise.
Explore the historic monastery after your hike. Toilets and a café are available beforehand.
Meet at the parking lot for the return. Arrive back around 12:00 PM.

We recommend that our hikers bring a head Flashlight so it’s easier for hiking and you can be hand-free, but another option is using your phone Flashlight, or you maybe would like to support our Bedouin kids and invest in buying one from them upon arrival in Saint Catherine.

Along the way, there are small shops that have some snacks, tea, coffee, and other options of soft drinks. And on the way down there’s a shop that usually makes breakfast, which is a Bedouin bread with cheese, chocolate, or honey.
