The Blue Hole and El Bells
The Blue Hole is one of the world’s most famous dive sites. It is a spectacular hole in the reef that plunges to more than 80m and has some of the clearest, deepest blue water that you’ll ever see. Snorkellers can either enter from a pontoon at the Blue Hole, or walk a few minutes north to El Bells where there is a gap in the coral.
The El Bells entrance allows snorkellers to swim down to the Blue Hole past a stunning vertical wall of coral, to a dip in the reef called the Bridge. Swarming with colourful fish, the Bridge allows access to the amazing crater of the Blue Hole where you’ll see a wide range of marine life and reef structures, which thrive in the cool water.
Although a favourite with experienced divers, the Blue hole is an exhilarating and accessible snorkelling destination.
